Lanzarote Rhythms Policies

1. Registration and Enrolment

  • Registration process: All students must complete the registration form and required documentation before attending classes. The process is mandatory to secure a place in the courses and to maintain proper registration.
  • Payments: Monthly payments must be made before the 5th of each month, according to the stipulated method of payment. Payments must be made by bank transfer or in cash only if it is the first instalment after the 5th of each month.
  • Discounts and promotions: Any applicable discounts or promotions must be requested prior to payment and will not be retroactive.

2. Attendance and Punctuality

  • Class timetables: Students must arrive on time for classes. Punctuality is essential for the smooth running of the programme and discipline.
  • Assistance: Regular attendance is crucial to the progress of each student. If you are unable to attend, it is necessary to notify the school at least 24 hours in advance. Repeated absences may affect a student's performance.
  • Delays: If a student arrives late, he/she may join the class in a back row seat as long as the class has not started more than 20 minutes before the beginning of the class, otherwise he/she may not join the class.

3. Rules of Conduct

  • Respect and courtesy: All members of the academy (pupils, teachers and staff) are expected to behave in a respectful and courteous manner at all times. Harassment, discrimination and aggressive behaviour of any kind will not be tolerated.
  • Teamwork: Dance is a group activity that encourages collaboration and fellowship. All students are expected to work as a team, respecting their peers and sharing the space in the best possible way.
  • Use of electronic devices: During lessons, mobile phones or other electronic devices must be on silent mode. It is not permitted to record or take photographs without the prior consent of the teachers or the school management.

4. Safety Standards

  • Physical conditions: Students should inform teachers of any medical conditions or injuries that may affect their performance in classes so that exercises can be adapted according to their needs.
  • Appropriate clothing and footwear: It is compulsory to wear comfortable and appropriate clothing for dancing, preferably made of elastic materials that allow freedom of movement.
  • Personal hygiene: All students must maintain proper personal hygiene. Changing rooms and facilities should be used in a responsible and respectful manner.

5. Classes and Programmes

  • Group and individual classes: The academy offers both group and individual classes. In both cases, the availability of timetables and teachers may be subject to change depending on demand.
  • Class level: Classes are organised by ability level. If a student shows significant progress, he/she may be moved to a higher level upon the recommendation of the instructor.
  • Cancellation of classes: In the event that the academy has to cancel a class due to exceptional circumstances (such as adverse weather conditions or force majeure), students will be informed in advance. Missed classes will be rescheduled. Classes cancelled by the student without prior notice will not be made up or refunded.

6. Cancellation and Refund Policy

  • Cancellation of classes: Students have the right to cancel their enrolment at any time. If cancellation is made before the 15th of each month, the following month's tuition will be cancelled. If the cancellation is made after the 15th of each month, it will have to wait until the following month and no refund will be given for missed classes.
  • Temporary suspension: If a student needs to temporarily suspend his or her classes for personal or health reasons, a suspension of enrolment for a certain period of time can be made, keeping the place available, under the agreed conditions. If prior notice is given, tuition fees will be reinstated.

7. Policy Modification

  • Ritmos Lanzarote reserves the right to modify the policies of the academy at any time. In case of significant modifications, students will be notified through the usual communication channels (email, social networks, etc.).

8. Protection of Personal Data

  • The academy is committed to protecting the privacy of students' personal data, in accordance with current data protection legislation. The data provided in the registration process will be used exclusively for administrative purposes and for the management of the classes.
